& AW LOCAL LODGE 16 News  ALL IAM & AW MEMBERS LOCAL LODGE 16 - PACIFIC REGION COLLECTIVE BARGAINING UPDATE8/30/2011Dear Brothers & Sisters: On September 7, 2011 we will be entering into bargaining for our first Collective Agreement with our new employer, G4S. The two IAM & AW contracts that we presently have in the Pacific Region are the best in Canada for CATSA Pre-board Screeners. Together, we can make them better. During this round of negotiations we will have the opportunity to discuss with G4S, our needs and ideas on how to improve our standard of living and working conditions. We have developed a Collective Bargaining Web Survey to assist in the development of our Bargaining Agenda. The Survey is accessible on the IAM & AW, Transportation District 140 website homepage at www.iam140.ca. Please take a moment to complete and submit the web Survey no later than Sunday, September 4, 2011 in order to communicate your priorities. Many of the major issues will be determined by the Survey, however, there may be other Base specific issues that need addressing and these can be shared in the comments field of the Survey. We will also have the support of our Research Director and Strategic Resources Department, who have access to current, reliable information regarding economic data from within the industry and from within the Region.
