TO ALL IAM & AW MEMBERS AEROGUARD - (YVR) - LOCAL LODGE 16 TRANSITION8/16/2011 Dear Brothers & Sisters:
The Company and the Union met yesterday to identify and commence discussions on the transition issues arising from CATSA’s awarding of the Airport Screening Services Agreement contract in the Pacific Region.
An agreement was reached during Collective Bargaining to meet within thirty (30) days of the award to discuss transition issues, including but not limited to:
Collective Agreement Issues: Grievances, Seniority, Layoff/Recall, Transfers, Leaves of Absence, Vacation Payout, Statutory Holidays, Benefits (i.e., parking reimbursement, BC Medical Services Plan reimbursement, Sick Leave entitlement and payout, Health & Welfare and Group RRSP), COLA & VRSC payments and Performance Payment Plan entitlement.
Pay Disputes Procedures and Final Pay issues.
Group Notice of Termination, Severance Entitlement, Records of Employment and Transfer of Employment.
Uniform, Parking Pass and Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC) renewal procedures.
Employment and Training Records.
Airside Operation
The parties will meet every Monday from now until the end of the transition period to address the above comprehensive list of transition issues and other issues that may arise. Following each meeting we will communicate to the Membership the outcome of our discussions. Should you have any questions or concerns that have not been identified above, please do not hesitate to bring them to our attention.
