TO ALL IAM & AW MEMBERS AEROGUARD - (YVR) - LOCAL LODGE 162/28/2011 NEGOTIATIONS UPDATE - FEBRUARY 25, 2011
Dear Brothers & Sisters
During the week of February 21 – 24, 2011, we met with Aeroguard in an effort to reach an agreement which would satisfy your needs.
The Company stated that they were not prepared to make an offer that we could bring back to you for consideration and were not prepared to respond to our monetary proposals or respond further on other vital workplace issues.
As a result, we will file for conciliation with the Federal Government.
We want to remind you that during this time you are obliged to work under the conditions of your present Collective Agreement.
Please continue to work in a safe and respectful manner towards the travelling public and ensure that you follow all the rules, policies and procedures of your employment.
Remember one thing: Together, standing strong as one Union and speaking with one loud voice, we can improve our standard of living.
Your Negotiations Committee:
Rene Chand, Philip Kim, Bob Mosely,
Clement Nunes, Bong Regualos, Derek Rose,
Rick Singh, Chris Thompson, Marc Wong
In solidarity,
Tania Canniff, General Chairperson
Transportation District 140, IAM & AW
